Sonder is a modern hospitality company that revolutionizes the traditional hotel experiences by incorporating a digital “front desk” through its mobile app. This app, under my engineering leadership, has achieved a Top 200 ranking among Travel Apps in the App Store and has been used by over 500,000 users.

A key achievement was leading the development of the guest-to-customer agent messaging platform. This involved creating both the guest and customer agent experience. I also contributed to other features in the mobile app, including a calendar screen for modifying reservation dates, a comprehensive redesign of the “My Stay” screen, and a mobile keys feature.

In 2023, I was promoted to the team’s Engineering Manager. My focus shifted to enhancing the platform's backbone, prioritizing quality, stability, and development efficiency. Notable projects include the implementation of a shared Analytics Platform and “Froyo,” a cutting-edge mock session platform that uses Mercurius to emulate GraphQL endpoints, and an End-to-End (E2E) testing platform designed to identify regressions before every app release.

I've witnessed and contributed to Sonder's remarkable growth, and I'm excited to continue driving innovation in the hospitality industry.
